I’ve now given mine to my 76 year old mom who has never got used to typing on the iPad screen—got hers paired in no time and she is very happy. The major downside is that the iPhone stand holds the phone nowhere near a comfortable viewing angle unless you remove the phone from its case. And if you're out and about and going for ease and portability, why would you want to take off the case? I'm not talking about some macho-big case, either. The iPad is not a laptop and cases that try to convert it into one leave marks on the screen or otherwise make the iPad a pain to use. This keyboard easily props up your iPad (instant laptop!) but only when you need it to. It even works on your lap (with a book or hard surface.I use my leather padfolio). It’s slim and the same size as the iPad, so it stores easily in any “sleeve” for transport. I’m tempted to buy a second one in case I ever need another and they discontinue it.
